The second solo exhibition of George Vavatsis bearing the name, “In memoriam” seeks to highlight the importance of memories in the evolution of life. With forms and shapes that refer to utilitarian objects, the three stages of the exhibition: birth-experience-death, mark the path of life, whether in the form of installations or as individual works.
The creator, sometimes expresses his feelings as if writing a calendar, where he presents phrases and thoughts on his personal moments and sometimes in allegorical forms that are apt to social issues such as faith, courage, selflessness, equality, etc. The visitor is invited to reminisce and evaluate their own life, bringing memory under the spotlight.
